mwbaRosidi è un'ampia mwbqunità tassonomica mwbgmonofiletica all'interno del mwbwclade delle mwcaAngiosperme, non presente nel precedente mwcqsistema Cronquist così com'è oggi strutturata, essendo stata introdotta solo con la moderna mwcgclassificazione APG.cite-ref-apgiv-1-0[1]

Si tratta di una suddivisione molto ampia, composta da 17 mweaordini, per un totale di 135 mweqfamiglie, aggiornato alla mwegclassificazione APG IV. In tutto sono comprese in questo clade circa mwew70 000 mwfaspeciecite-ref-wang20092-2-0[2], circa un quarto di Angiospermaecite-ref-scotland20032-3-0[3] e, insieme alle mwhqAsteridi, costituiscono le due classificazioni più ampie tra le mwhgEudicotiledoni.

Stime dell'mwiaorologio molecolare indicano che le Rosidi si siano originate nell'mwiqAptiano o nell'mwigAlbiano, 99,6-125 milioni di anni facite-ref-magallon20092-4-0[4], tesi avvalorate dalla scoperta di piante mwjwfossili risalenti al periodo mwkaCretacicocite-ref-davies20042-5-0[5].

Etimologia

Il nome "Rosidi" si rifà alle mwmaRosidae, che nella mwmqclassificazione tradizionale erano una mwmgsottoclasse di mwmwMagnoliopsida, e che in parte coincidono nella composizionecite-ref-6[6]. Questa corrispondenza tra le due mwoaunità tassonomiche è stata dimostrata da mwoqArmen Takhtajan, botanico armeno, nel mwog1967cite-ref-7[7], basandosi sulla descrizione del mwpw1830 di tale gruppo di piante da parte di mwqaFriedrich Gottlieb Bartlingcite-ref-8[8]cite-ref-9[9].

Bisogna sottolineare come i due termini "Rosidae" e "Rosidi", ad oggi, non siano sovrapponibili: pur includendo in alcuni casi i medesimi ordini e famiglie, questi due gruppi nascono da criteri di classificazione totalmente differenti: ovvero la tradizionale mwsgtassonomia linneana per il primo e la moderna mwswclassificazione filogenetica per il secondo.

Descrizione

Non vi sono chiari mwtgapomorfismi non molecolari che accomunino tra loro le specie appartenenti al clade Rosidicite-ref-10[10]. Le piante qui incluse tendono ad avere mwuwperianzi con mwvapetali o mwvqsepali non fusi tra loro e una merosità dello stame maggiore di quella del mwvgcalice o della mwvwcorolla, ma vi sono svariate eccezioni. Generalmente le Rosidi hanno mwwaovuli bitegmici e crassinucellati, il che è la principale differenza rispetto alle mwwqAsteridi, che invece in gran parte presentano ovuli unitegmici e tenuinucellati.

Tassonomia

Relazioni

Le Rosidi, unite all'ordine mwxqSaxifragales, formano il clade noto come mwxgsuperrosidi, che è a sua volta con mwxwsuperasteridi, mwyaGunnerales e mwyqDilleniales contenuto nel clade delle mwygEudicotiledoni centralicite-ref-apgiv-1-1[1].

Discendendo invece lungo l'mwaaalbero filogenetico, si possono suddividere in due parti: l'ordine mwaqVitales e le cosiddette mwagEurosidi, a loro volta suddivise in mwawEurosidi I (o mwbaFabidi), mwbqCOM e mwbgEurosidi II (o mwbwMalvidi). Il clade mwcaCOM, inserito fino alla mwcqclassificazione APG III nelle mwcgFabidi, visti i risultati degli studi più recenti andrebbe in realtà incluso nelle mwcwMalvidi, pertanto risulta al momento un mwdaincertae sedis nelle Eurosidi, in attesa degli esiti di nuovi studicite-ref-apgiv-1-2[1].

Con l'aggiornamento alla classificazione APG IV del mwhw2016 si sono mantenuti i 17 ordini già presenti nella mwiaAPG III, mentre ci sono stati invece cambiamenti tra le famiglie in essi contenuti.
